How to use this tool

- Switch units: use the unit dropdown next to each measurement to convert between m², ft², acres, hectares, and square miles.
- Search an address: type into the search bar to jump anywhere in the world.

About the calculations
This calculator uses the Google Maps spherical geometry library, which accounts for Earth's curvature when computing area and distance. For shapes spanning hundreds of meters or more, that's substantially more accurate than the flat-plane shoelace formula most simple calculators use.
