    Cleaner shapes, colours by chat, and totals for lines

    • Finished shapes hide their white handles. Click a shape, or its Edit button in the panel, to move or reshape it; click empty map to deselect.
    • Ask the chat for a colour: "draw a 2 acre square here in blue" or "make area 1 burnt pink". Any colour word works.
    • Groups for every shape type, not just lines. Name a group (plow, shovel, pile) and the panel and reports total each group, with a colour key.
    • "Add up all my lines" totals just the lines; "total perimeter of everything" totals every shape.
    • Solar on land, not a roof: "how many panels fit on 2 acres" gives a ground-mount estimate.
    • Label a shape by chat: "label area 1 as garden" renames it everywhere.

    A smarter assistant, shape colours and line groups

    • The assistant plans its own steps: it looks places up, draws, measures and checks the result before answering.
    • Ambiguous places get a question ("Which Springfield?") instead of a guess.
    • It remembers the conversation while the chat is open; New chat starts over.
    • It shows what it is doing as it works (looking up the address, measuring the roof).
    • Other buildings on a lot: ask about the detached garage and it finds it and measures that roof.
    • Every shape has its own colour; tick "different colour for each shape" or pick one per shape.
    • Lines can be grouped (fence, gutter) with a total per group in the panel.
    • Reports and KML exports keep shape colours and groups.

    Reports

    • Build a report from any map: cover, location view, measurements, and sections you choose.
    • Estimates and quotes: labour and other items, tax, fence gates, roof planes.
    • Templates and a branding profile with your logo, company name and contact.
    • Add site photos and your own words; every change is kept in a version history.
    • Download as PDF or share a link; example reports show what is possible.
    • Give shapes names so reports read "Front lawn", not "Area 1".

    Elevation, terrain and exports

    • Elevation profile for any line, on demand.
    • Place Point shows the elevation of a dropped pin.
    • Terrain summary for areas and circles: elevation, slope and which way the land faces.
    • Export saved maps as KML or GeoJSON.
    • Area from dimensions: type a length and width and get the area in every unit.
    • A redesigned dashboard holds your maps, with a share dialog; new maps are private by default.
    • Thumbs up or down on any chat answer.

    Save in place

    • Saving a map you already saved updates it; "Save as new" makes a copy.

    Roofs and features from imagery

    • Exact roof area for an address, with the solar array size Google Solar gives for it.
    • Trace a driveway, pool, patio, parking lot or field from the satellite image.
    • Ask for an address and the map zooms there.

    • A Draw Line tool for distances: two clicks make a straight line with its length.

    Sign in your way

    • Sign in with Google, X or Microsoft.
    • The assistant draws squares of an exact area on real addresses, never in the ocean.

    Accounts, saving and sharing

    • Create a free account and save maps: shapes, notes and the exact spot on the map.
    • Share a map with a link anyone can open.
    • The assistant switches units (including square yards), zooms, and goes to a place.
    • "Draw a circle the same size" refers back to the last shape.

    Many shapes on one map

    • Draw as many areas and circles as you need on one map, each with its own measurements.
    • Search for an address and the map goes there.
    • The chat assistant draws and measures for you.
